Playing MMORPGs since 1998
Welcome! Thank you for visiting Fabulae Marrii (Latin for Legends of Marr). Our goal is to create a tightly knit (most important), experienced, and raid-capable guild - without losing sight of two important things - being friendly and having fun. Induction into the guild is determined by a set of guidelines established by the guild Induction Council (IC). If you are interested in joining Fabulae Marrii, you will find a guild application section in our forums.

Fabulae Marrii was re-established after the downfall of its mother guild Legends of Marr on the Zebuxoruk server in EverQuest. We are a well-respected, friendly guild and we have played many MMORPG's, amongst which EverQuest, Ultima Online, Anarchy Online, Asheron's Call II and Dark Age of Camelot.

We know what it takes to lead a guild in a professional way - something that is far too often underestimated by inexperienced guild leaders. Fabulae Marrii is the answer to the enormous amount of guilds out there only focussed on loot, experience, egocentrism and power struggles. Fabulae Marrii is unique - there are no other guilds like it.

It's not about the avatars. It's about the values they represent. - Bedarra

Our guild is based on friendship, ethical principles, professionalism, high standards and commitment. We expect you to behave like adults. Be nice, be wise. Friendship is more important than loot. You are expected to help your fellow-members out of free will, without expecting anything back. You are expected to know that kill stealing is not ethical. You are expected to know that using bad language is not professional. You are expected not to rest until we have achieved the highest goal in the game. You are expected to sacrifice a lot of your time to this guild. This doesn't mean that you need to play 24 hours a day, but we do expect you to play regularly (2, 3 times a week).

If you are interested in further information about the guild, please check out our Guild Charter, where you will find general information on our raiding, looting, and general guild guidelines. Please note that these rules are based on our experiences in EverQuest 1 and are therefore subject to change without prior notice.

EverQuest II is just a game. You are not. - Ainlor

Profile
- We are not a roleplaying guild, though roleplayers are always welcomed.
- We are a good (vs. evil) guild, though evil players are welcomed, provided they abide by the following charter.
- We are mainly a PvE guild. This means we focus mainly on fighting mobs (raids) and not fighting other players.

Golden rule
It is the goal of every member of Fabulae Marrii to help others and make Norrath more friendly for everyone. This does not mean letting people step on us however, as we will be a formidable opponent should you choose to view us this way. We, however, wish to maintain a peaceful, helpful and friendly atmosphere wherever possible.

True generosity doesn't come from rules or expectations. It comes directly from the heart. - Yomar

If you join the Fabulae Marrii guild you are a member of a well respected organization and you ARE expected to act like it. Try to get along with players even if amidst an adventure you find out to your dismay that they are complete jerks. Any complaints about other members, should be presented to the High Council to handle. Avoid personal settling of vendettas and other overtly abrasive acts. You are expected to treat your fellow guild members with respect. Keep personal squabbles outside of guild functions and guild missions.

Loyalty is very important to Fabulae Marrii. We wish to attain a close-knit group of players here who care about each other. If you are more concerned with yourself, or loot - this isn't the guild for you.

We encourage our members to group with each other whenever possible. Group with Fabulae Marrii members to see how you interact with them.

Help, this charter is too long!
If your
time is limited, you can check out this page, the Main Rules and the Alt Rules only. The other parts of our charter merely detail how things in our guild are managed - these are procedures rather than actual rules, though of course we do expect you to follow them if you're told to. You are free to skip these parts, on one condition: do not complain if you find out to your dismay that things are handled differently than expected. If you are serious about your application, we strongly recommend you to study these procedures anyway to develop a general feeling for things. of course, we do not expect you to learn everything by heart - just abide when people remind you of something.

Note: we realize the length of this charter can give people the wrong impression. Our guild is everything but a bureaucracy. Most guilds solve certain situations ad hoc (meaning that the officers make a decision on the spot). The difference with our guild is that we have more or less encountered every possible situation already, and therefore have set solutions for them. Once inside, you will find out that we are a great bunch of friendly people who just love being together and helping eachother. Generally, guild chat is relaxed. Too relaxed maybe :D
