8. Council rules
All councils except High Council
Council proposals have to go through council forums first by normal vote. Majority wins. If your fellow-council members do not vote within 24 hours after your post, then consider their vote as blank. If your fellow-council members have not voted for several times, inform High Council. We don't want inactive council members.
If there is a very important decision to make that has to be taken fast, then consult online HC members or guild leader. If these are not online, then do as you please, but note that you will need to post an explanation on the council forum and risk being flamed by the other council members... or worse.
High Council only
Normal proposals do not have to go through council forums. High Council members are expected to be independant and smart. Very important proposals go through High Council forum, see above. High Council needs to make fast decisions and sometimes there is no time to vote. Flexibility is key. What's important and what not, what's worth a vote and what not is left to the insight of the council members. If one of their decisions causes a stir, they can always organize a vote to undo it. Do not forget to post any decisions you made during the game on the High Council forum so other members can read about it.
Induction Council only
We strongly recommend IC to consult as many members as possible before inducting someone. When we receive an application, IC should make a post on members forum to see if anyone in the guild has already grouped with the applicant in question. Encourage grouping with the new member as much as possible. Please note that normal guild inductions are not urgent and should be approved by Induction Council first. If you really think the induction cannot wait, then ask for permission from High Council.
9. Council tasks
High Council
The High Council is responsible for overseeing other councils, to check whether they are doing their job right. They should try to intervene as little as possible. Further, the High Council is responsible for monitoring the guild, ensuring that everybody gets along well, and handling those who violate the charter. The High Council are your friends in times of need, when you need a listening ear, or when you think things can be done better or differently.
Raid Council
The Raid Council is responsible for setting short, mid and long term goals for the guild in battle, and organizing raids.
Induction Council
The Induction Council is responsible for recruiting new members (though active recruitment is a task of the entire guild) and selects people who will fit our charter. They control the influx of the guild, making sure that not too many people are recruited at once. This to ensure the stability of the guild and having new members integrate first before inviting new members.
Loot Council
The Loot Council is responsible for dividing loot amongst members, based on a strict rule set (see above).
