5. Craft Procedures

Our crafting system
The aim of our crafter system is to build an (in most cases) efficient production machine that will help the guild as a whole, and not just individual crafters. In some cases, the system works slower than dynamic groups of crafters, but we feel that on the overall, this is a small price to pay. The guild crafting factory will sell produced products to the guild for cost or reduced prices (the guild crafter may choose).

Each crafting line has one guild crafter specializing in a specialism. The guild crafter should be the first "port of call" for both members and crafters who need to outsource products belonging to another craft specialism, though they may choose to make these products themselves if they are able to, as long as they do not actively advertise or sell the resulting products to other guild members or crafters. That means that crafters may make as many products not belonging to their specialism as they want, as long as they only sell the resulting products to players outside the guild, except in rare cases, in which immediate production for guild members or crafters is necessary.

This way we ensure that:
1. Specialized crafters can truly specialize in their craft.
2. Specialized crafters will not compete with eachother.
3. Guild members know exactly where to order what.
4. Guild members know exactly whom to give which resources.
5. Guild members know exactly whom to give which crafter books.
6. Prices are consistent and clear.

A busy guild crafter may appoint a crafter apprentice, provided that only said guild crafter will order at said apprentice.

Ordering for profit
If you are planning to order products from crafters with only one purpose in mind, namely selling them on the market (this excludes orders placed to level up and sell on the market as a side effect), make sure you consult the crafter beforehand and let him/her share in the profit. General guideline: be nice, be wise.

Bulk orders
We ask both members and crafters to place orders in bulk as much as possible, to improve efficiency.
